The Cocoa Bar

The Cocoa Bar

The Cocoa Bar is a chocolate bar candy company that uses natural ingredients for its chocolates and use recyclable materials for their packaging. Each season the bars are themed based on movies, pop culture of the past or present. This season the inspiration was Veruca Salt from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.

The Process

The Logo

Looking at various options for creating the logo, I explored various existing chocolate brands and looked into independent brands as well. I decided to look into various serif fonts since I feel most times it gives off an elegant, feminine look to anything.

Final Looks

For the final looks of these bars, it was decided that one pattern was going to be the final look. I decided to use the damask pattern since me and my instructor decided that this was the print that gave off that high-end look, while at the same time playing around with the different colors used for each pattern it will give the bar an attitude on its own.
There are five flavors which are, ruby chocolate, milk chocolate with caramel, cookies and cream, spicy chiles, and milk chocolate with sea salt. This part of the process was overall challenging, deciding on what flavors to pick, the color theme for each bar. I enjoyed this doing project, it was something out of my comfort zone using so much color and pattern but I enjoyed creating these bars.
